What a lovely morning!

Just got back from the hairdresser. She does amazing work. I always feel like a million bucks after pampering like that. It seems like it should be illegal to pay a beautiful woman to run her fingers through my beard...

Our sleepy little town is pretty much recovered from Katrina, with most of the fallen debris piled up by the side of the road waiting for the garbage trucks to come. I'm very glad I don't live in New Orleans, though, for Katrina looks hell-bent on causing some damage somewhere else...

The girls have been cooped up in the house for a few days, so I think we're headed to the bookstore for some browsing. I'll probably scour the bargain book bins for food porn, and the girls will surely talk me into some anime or manga. Juno, you have given me a phrase by which to name the cookbooks that are my favorites!

Well, there is lunch to be had, an empire to build, and girls to harass. A meme or two before I go, though...
