The Kilted Nation
Aug. 6th, 2007 01:56 pmEverybody needs to go to Manassas and buy stuff from The Kilted Nation! It's a great little kilt shop on Main St. in Manassas, with Utilikilts, Amerikilts, Sportkilts (hot little mini-kilts!), sarongs, wraps, etc. I got a new basic black standard utilikilt, as my waist has lost a few inches since I got my black denim utilikilt a few years ago.
I and my girls were in town for a
keltish concert at Signal Hill Park, swung by TKN to pick up a kilt so that I'd match my ichiban. We talked up the concert and after we left, another customer came in to get a birthday kilt. He got the same kilt I did (but his is even thinner), and then the proprietor (sorry, can't remember his name, a big ex-pro-wrestler) asked what his other plans were. The plans included a BBQ at the park, so he sent them to Signal Hill Park to catch the concert. It turned out that
rentigger showed up in his black kilt, so there were four of us wearing identical kilts.
The concert was loads of fun, even without the contingent of matching kilts. We picnicked with lots of fun fruits, cured meats, and cheeses.
If someone's looking for a utilikilt, you'll save on shipping if you go through TKN, and he has the same lead time, even if it has to be custom-made.
Yaay! My kilt fits!!
