A favorite song
Sep. 8th, 2007 01:15 pmWhat? I'm not at Faire today? Nope, got things to do. I'll be there tomorrow, even if it means missing one of my favorite foodies and her beau.
I finally cut up that huge limb that fell out of the tree in the front yard. Electric chain saws just aren't as satisfying as gas-powered, though. My back is grumbly now. While I was cutting, stacking wood and hauling brush, I had a favorite song running through my head. Heck, this one's even a ring tone on my phone for one of my favorite people. I think it was Cyndi Lauper that originally recorded it, but I know it from Empty Hats. I'll always hear it in Carl's voice, I think. It's called "Cyrus in the Moonlight," and it's a rare song on a rare topic. Here are the lyrics from the ( Hats version. )
Personally, I think it'd make a great Keltish song, one day, but that's just me being selfish and wanting to hear it more often...
