Wow. Went to the Green Briar seisiun last night with
mstarfire and had a marvelous time. She even had me playing the bodhran some, and I was able to keep up with a few of the reels and jigs, much to my amazement. I kept getting distracted, though, by all the music surrounding me. My attention would float off on the cloud of melodies, harmonies, and rhythms. More than once, I caught myself drifting off into the music and had to stop, find myself, and start playing again. :)
It was an amazing experience to be engulfed in music like that. I haven't felt that since concert choir way back in college. Great big hugs and a huge thank you to you,
mstarfire!

Date: 2005-07-12 01:25 pm (UTC)I tend to still get lost in the music myself. Occasionally, in very special circumstance, as I am playing with others, the music seems to take over and play me, rather than the other way around. Amazing.
Now we have to get my red-headed step sister and my step nieces up here for that, as well as the step sister's step husband.
Huggles!
