I'm back in town again. This was a short trip, and it went pretty well. Hopefully the sales guys can turn this one into a sale. The house feels very different with a whole mess of new-to-us furniture. The girls are still learning the "most comfortable positions" on the new furniture. The dog hasn't figured out how to move around/under the new coffee table yet. It's very amusing.

My exotics are thriving now that the sprinklers are fixed, and I'm already starting to think about what the next one will be: papaya? carambola? black sapote? rambutan? So many choices, not nearly enough land for them all. *sigh* I think I need to do one that I can train into a bush or hedge shape next, not another tree. Maybe nanking cherry...

Tonight starts another whirlwind weekend with extra places and people and all sorts of things that keep me from being a hermit. This is a good thing. I'm just bummed I'm going to miss the big sushi dinner while I'm schmoozing with management at the not-annual-any-more summer office party. If I could blow it off, I would, but this is a big one. Darn my political spidey-sense!

Definitely thinking about being bad this weekend - the diet is going very well and my new bottle of Venezuelan Santa Theresa orange rhum is begging for a chocolate cake to lounge upon. I think I shall have to oblige Santa Theresa and find an appropriate celebration. ;)
