10,000 miles to go before I rest...
Oct. 17th, 2005 03:07 pmI'm back, but not for long. :( Heading out again in 30 minutes, this time for a whirlwind business trip.
Just got back from a great weekend conference that looks to be very useful for me. It's a travesty that it ended up conflicting with the Sarasota faire, but it was definitely the right thing to do.
It was a delight to be back in my homeland (Northern California), though. I kept going on and on about how great the air felt, and how right the people looked, and how life just tasted different there. There is definitely a part of my soul that is still connected to that part of the world. I had perhaps my best meal of 2005 at a Berkeley eatery called Seasalt, and I made some new friends. It was good.
May each of you take the time this week to drink in the oft-overlooked beauties of home, and appreciate how rare they are when compared to the grand scheme of your life.
