Personally, I think the network fairies are getting their revenge on me for having left IT after 8 years of servitude...

No, I was in IT for some 8 years or so, lots of networking and desktop/server support. Then I stepped just slightly outside of IT into InfoSec and sales support (at the same time). Now I'm just in sales support, but still using the techie skills to help TRY to make some money in Latin America selling high-tech solutions for wireless telecom operators.
