I pull out of the driveway with #1 in the car, on the way to viola lessons. At the light, I notice the car is handling a little funny, dragging to the right. Before I can pull over, the drag takes on a sort of whumpfing sound and I realize I'm riding on my rim.
Who gets a flat tire on Halloween?
Pull out spare, teach #1 how to change a tire. Take a moment to sniff the Ward Cleaver-esque hint of pipe smoke and testosterone in the air.
Come home, garb up, break into the medicinal rum & bitters.
Now that the sun is down, my cul-de-sac looks like old people live here. I'm going to have to break down and decorate next year...
