The beard has finally passed from "scruffy" into "respectable," but not yet "prodigious." The girls at Starbucks tell me that my persona is returning. I think they were nearly as disturbed by my clean-shaven face as I was. ;)

It's a sort of tradition - every 3 years or so, I shave it off because I forget what my chin looks like. :) It will probably happen again, but not for some time.
