Can I just say how cool it is to be able to discuss the last six "continuity reboots" in Legion of Super-Heroes comic titles with my eldest daughter?

In obscure Legion of Super-Heroes lore, Tenzil Kem is "Matter-Eater Lad," a young man with the power to eat anything. In my favorite "reboot" of LSH, he became a politician, which suited his personality very well. He typically eats lug nuts and motor oil for breakfast, and once defeated a very powerful robot villain by biting off his nose.
