Post 3 things you've done in your lifetime that you don't think anybody else on your friends list has done. See if anybody else responds with "I've done that." If they have, you need to add another. Have your friends cut & paste this into their journal to see what unique things they've done in their lives.
1. Ordered a paper plate full of iguana, plantain, rice and beans out of a street vendor's crock pot through a taxi window in Honduras.
ginger_rose was in the car, but I think I can safely take credit for placing the order, and she didn't eat any.
2. Received an honest-to-goodness Ben Franklin C-note from an ATM in Russia. I really needed rubles. You know how hard it is to break a $100 bill in the US? Well, imagine trying to do it in Nizhny Novgorod.
3. After passing through every layer of the Forbidden City, being overcome to the point of tears at the sight of a single tree. It is a juniper that has been carefully shaped, groomed, loved and cared for by some 25 generations of groundskeepers, just inside the inner garden. The architecture and history all the way through were amazing, but it was that one tree in the garden that brought it all flooding into me with full impact.
