Omnivore meme
Aug. 18th, 2008 06:48 amI actually got tagged for this one from my best foodie friend in the whole world, who isn't on LJ, but I see it's circling through my flist, too. Here goes:
The rules of the meme:
1) Bold those you have tried
2)Strikethrough those you wouldn't eat on a bet.
2a) Italicize any item you'll never eat again.
2b) *Asterisk any items you'd be interested in trying but have not yet.
I'd love to add some to the list, though: iguana, ostrich, kangaroo, langostine, ikan bilis, Beijing duck, century egg, conch (A mi me gusta concha!), scrapple (tame around here, but really should be on the list), a proper caesar salad prepared at tableside, fish head curry, pork skin jelly, cowfoot, pig knuckle, red beet eggs, smoked pork lard, raw won ton skin, mangosteen, rambutan, longan, marionberry, pea greens, a jucy lucy (Minneapolis burger with molten cheese inside), any example of molecular gastronomy and balut. (I've had all of those except the last, and that one's on my to-do list)
